Recently, Ted Walton won a whistleblower trial in front of a Federal Administrative Law judge. Ted’s client was terminated. He was an over-the-road truck driver who was dispatched to transport a loaded trailer that exceeded state and federal weight limits. Concerned that the load was unsafe, Ted’s client refused to take the load. As a result of his refusal, the trucking company fired him. The Federal Administrative Law judge order Ted’s client immediately reinstated with over $129,000 in back pay and $20,000 in compensation for emotional distress.
