Laura Landenwich and Ted Walton Settle Class Action on Behalf of Stripped Floyd County Inmates

On July 24, 2017 a federal judge approved a $1.23 million settlement of a class action suit that alleged mistreatment of several inmates at the Floyd County Jail in New Albany, Ind. The complaint said jail officers “stripped, held naked, tortured, humiliated and abused” them. According to the lawsuit, officers also placed the inmates in padded holding cells without toilets and withheld clothing, bedding, and hygiene supplies.  The inmates were represented by Laura Landenwich and Ted Walton of Adams • Landenwich • Walton.
