Garry R. Adams is one of the founding partners of Adams • Landenwich • Lay and has been practicing law since 2000. Garry primarily practices general civil litigation. He practices in the areas of employment, business litigation, civil rights, and personal injury law. Garry’s client base includes individuals and small businesses.
Garry is a member in good standing of the Kentucky Bar, and is also admitted to practice before the Western District of Kentucky, Eastern District of Kentucky, Southern District of Indiana, Northern District of Illinois, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has also practiced pro hac vice in the Middle District of Tennessee, Middle District of Florida, and the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Garry is also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
Since 2012, Garry has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Louisville for Constitutional Law/Individual Rights Law. In 2013, Garry was named as a Top Lawyer in Louisville for both Constitution Law/Individual Rights Law and Employment Law. Since 2013, Garry was also named as a Super Lawyer in Kentucky. According to the rating agency, only 5% of the attorneys in Kentucky receive the elite Super Lawyer designation.
Garry was born in St. Louis, Missouri and spent most of his youth in St. Louis and Denver, Colorado. Garry and his family moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1989 and he attended Eastern High School in Jefferson County. Garry attended the University of Kentucky where he earned his B.A. in Political Science in 1996. Garry also attended the University of Louisville where he earned his law degree in 2000.

Recent Notable Appellate Cases
Camm v. Faith, et al., 937 F. 3d 1096 (7th Cir. 2019). Represents a wrongfully incarcerated man who spent thirteen years imprisoned while fighting for his eventual acquittal after Indiana State officials covered up evidence of the true murderer of his wife and children.
McCann vs. Sullivan Univ. Sys., Inc., 528 S.W.3d 331, 333 (Ky.2017)(Represented employees seeking class action certification for unpaid overtime wages. The Kentucky Supreme Court held that Kentucky’s wage-hour law permits class actions for unpaid wages and overtime overturning several Kentucky Court of Appeals and Federal District Court decisions.
